Thunderstorm coverage over the mountains will decrease over the weekend with the best chances over the southwest and central mountains where isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon. Otherwise, expect a drying and warming trend for the southeast mountains and plains. Monday will be especially hot across the plains with temperatures climbing over 100. Heat Advisories may be needed for some of our urban corridor counties including El Paso, Pueblo and eastern Fremont counties. Moisture will increase from west to east for the mid to latter part of the work week, bringing a return of more widespread showers and thunderstorms. Burn scar flash flood risks will increase again through mid to late week, especially for some of our southeast mountain fire areas such as Aspen Acres and 24. Details are still being honed down, but best chances appear to be Wednesday through Friday of next week.
