  The Long Island South Shore Bays... 



At 1141 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms, extending 

from 6 nm NW of Upper New York Harbor to The Verrazano Narrows 

Bridge to near Island Park, moving E at 35 kt. 



Locations impacted include...

Great South Bay, Barnum Island, East Bay, Jones Beach, South Oyster

Bay, Island Park, Upper New York Harbor, Rockaway Inlet, Middle Bay,

and Fire Island Inlet.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect lightning strikes and heavy downpours.
