A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LAND AREAS AND WATERS OF

SOUTHERN COOKS. 



Situation:

A high pressure system to the far southwest of the group is expected

to generate fresh to strong southeasterly winds over Southern Cooks.



A weak trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers

affect parts of Northern Cooks. 



Forecast to midnight tonight for the Southern Cooks:

Over Land areas: Southeasterly winds 20 to 25 knots. 

Over Waters: Southeasterly winds 20 to 25 knots. Rough seas. Moderate

southerly swells.



Cloudy periods with brief showers.



Further outlook:    Expect southeasterly winds 20 to 25 knots. Cloudy

periods with brief showers. 



For Rarotonga:

Over Land areas: Southeasterly winds 20 to 25 knots. 

Over Waters: Southeasterly winds 20 to 25 knots. Rough seas. Moderate
