No hazardous weather is expected at this time. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. MONDAY...Thunderstorm...High Wind... and Heavy Rain Potential. TUESDAY...Thunderstorm and High Wind Potential. WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... A strong storm system will impact the area Monday into early Tuesday, bringing potential for both severe weather and heavy rain. Gusty south winds will prevail ahead of the system during the day Monday, and a medium chance for scattered showers and storms exists, especially during the afternoon. Afternoon storms will have a low chance of being strong to severe. As the main storm system moves into the area late Monday and Monday night, a line of storms is likely to organize to the west and sweep east across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas late Monday evening into early Tuesday morning. Some of these storms may be severe, with damaging winds being the main severe weather threat. A limited tornado threat will also exist Monday evening, especially across parts of northeast Oklahoma, with that threat shifting eastward into southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas early Tuesday morning. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible, particularly in areas that see multiple rounds of thunderstorms. Fast storm motions should keep the majority of the flooding concerns fairly localized. weather.gov/tulsa contains additional information. $$
